  1. The book is an excellent help to those unfamiliar with darktable. It is also worth mentioning that the packed version also includes a short tutorial to gently get the newcomer accustomed to the package.

Very nice work! I (and an increasing number of people I guess) would like to use it on a ebook reader. So I propose to provide it as epub.
  3. Dear Sirs,
    - an excellent piece of sw! And believe me, I've tried almost any Linux photo software in existence.
    - Its speed is amazing - and it gives it a true edge over other packages.
I have however, noticed the lack of 'areal tools'. By that I mean the capability of enhancing only certain areas of a pic. Say, you wish to brighten up only a certain part of some shadows or so. I can't really figure out how to do that, if at all possible?

    Best regards,

  4. Dear Verner,

indeed that's not possible right now. But be sure, we are working on this and have already made some achievements - but it is a lot of work to do. So don't wait for it in the near future, maybe we get a GSoC student working on this and can present first results in summer.

    Best regards,
    Simon
