  1. olá, hello,, please, can anyone explain me how to install this version,, mine says 1.4... and on repositorys its what there is. any comand line? thanks,,,
  2. I am having a problem with this update. I am running Linux Mint and using the Trusty PPA. Update Manager, and this update showed up a couple of days ago. I am reluctant to apply it because it is throwing up a 'software can't be authenticated' error, and Refreshing throws up a 'public key is not available' error.
  3. mac : (
  4. Does your system have the correct repositories set? The links to the repo's are on the install page:

  5. debian updated with 2.0.4. Thanks.
  6. Got the same thingy with my Ubuntu 16.04.
  7. done, thanks
  8. Issue resolved.

I removed the PPA from Software Sources and then added it back. I refreshed Update Mgr and v2.0.4 installed without a hitch. I have no idea what broke or why.
  9. Tried the same without any good results.
  10. Worked now. I had to use the terminal for everything.
  11. Hello, i'm with the 2.0.3 version of DT, and i would like to know how to install the 2.0.4 version on a Mageia 5 distrubution. (the package for 2.0.4 is not yet disponible with the officials packages by the CCM)
    Thanks a lot in advance.
  12. The program-window is bigger(broader) then my screen, either in standard-mode and in fullscreen-mode 1280x800 pixel, Macbookpro 13" OS X 11.4

Can there be a security issue?

    Regards,

  17. Darktable 2.04 is stable and responsive .
I use it in Ubuntu 14.04.
I would like to make a request for a feature.
Can you add scaling within the crop guides .
I don't know how many have felt this need , I really find this might be useful.
  18. Where did you get that file from? It's not the one we have on Github as you can tell from the different file format (tar.gz vs. tar.xz). So yes, there can be a security issue when you don't use the official packages.

Edit: It seems that's the Github-generated tarball. As the release notes say: don't use those!
  19. Just downloaded Darktable and used it for the first time have been using LR for years as a professional photographer the software is very very good .

I have a lot to learn and there is so much in the programe to understand and much more comprehensive than LR .

Just wanted to say congratulations on such a good bit of photography software
  20. Before discovering darktable I was exporting many of my images as JPEG XR, as I find that particular format to be economical and highly flexible. It presents the options of lossless compression and high colour depth/accuracy; the specification is open-source, ISO certified and free for anyone to adopt. I think it would be a nice addition for some future version of darktable to support editing of and exporting to, the JPEG XR format.
  21. What I'm really missing is the possibility to optimize the photos - and send them to "gimp" for further processing. Or I'm just to stupid to find out that feature?
  22. A new version of Darktable always feels like Christmas: excitement, unpacking and then spending loads of joyful time with the present. Thanks you so much!!! D.
  23. Is RAW Support for the new Canon EOS 80d planed in future releases?

THX for the nice work :)
  24. Hi there,

I run a Debian (Jessie), where darktable is 1.42, and the backports have 2.0.4. Only problem : It won't install, because of four dependencies --which can be found in the Jessie repositories-- won't be installed.

I got darktable installed by :

    - first getting the backports from my list
    - installing the 4 dependencies,
    - calling again on the backports,

and then Darktable 2.0.4. installed without more protestations

I've been using darktable for the last 3 years, and just love it. Thank you to the whole team.
  25. any upcoming release for Centos 7 / RHEL7 ?

    Cheers!
  26. Thank you for your hard work.
