  1. Good job! Thank you!
  2. Great. Just got a few raw shots out of a Nikon D500 three days ago and couldn't process them. Another 24 hours later I get version 2.0.6 and voilà!
Thanks for anticipating my needs in such a timely manner - most appreciated. :-)
  3. No Mac OS X builds. :)
  4. Thanks for the great hard work! :)
  5. Great job and great app ! My only tools for my RAW. Superb !
Thank you very much guys !

  7. In Darktable 2.0.5 no problems.
After update to 2.0.6 error message: failed to read camera information white balance dsc_1988.NEF.
    My camera Nikon D3000.
    I can develop only jpgs.
    What can i do?
  8. First of all thank you guys for your awesome work :)

I don't like saying it, but I ran into some issues withe the HDR module in combination with my EOS 6D. Overexposed areas, just like the sun or streetlights, change color to purple. This only affects the 6Ds HDR/DNG files, other cameras, just like my old trusty 5D :), are working perfectly fine - no color changing while using HDR. One picture editnig without the need of HDR works without any problem.

I tried Darktable on several PCs (all running Linux Mint), created HDRs out of 2,3,5 and 7 files and finally attempted to recover colors with some modules but nothing of this really helped.

I need some helping hands to find a solution :)
    Thanks
  9. I get this problem too since upgrading to this version. Nikon 3200. Old and new NEF files. Ubuntu 14.04.
  10. When could we expect to get Mac build? Thanks for continued effort.
  11. I still have problems with the raw white point setting with pics taken with a Nikon D300s in 14-Bit raw mode. Any solution for this?
It would be nice to have the "original" Nikon profiles, too. Can I contribute in any way with raw pics in different modes?
  12. Same problem.
[rawspeed] (DSC_0067.NEF) Camera not supported (explicit). Sorry.
[temperature] failed to read camera white balance information from `DSC_0006.NEF'!
[colorin] `NIKON CORPORATION NIKON D3000' color matrix not found!
  13. That's bugfixes! Now I cant work with my D3000 raw files :(
[rawspeed] (DSC_0067.NEF) Camera not supported (explicit). Sorry.
[temperature] failed to read camera white balance information from `DSC_0006.NEF'!
[colorin] `NIKON CORPORATION NIKON D3000' color matrix not found!
  14. "Fixes crashes on startup with some broken OpenCL implementations like pocl." Where's the bug report?

If this is due to the Most Common OpenCL Initialization Pitfall of not knowing about the device type being a bitfield (which means it can be a combination of types) and that one of the devices should (or at least might) have the device flag set, then I'd not blame pocl here so loudly.

No dmg build file of 2.0.6 release for OS X users?
    When can we expect?

Tried the tar.gz files, but really do not know what to do with these.
I am tech saavy, but not with using OS X Terminalor Terminal commands.

When can we expect a OS X .dmg file version, instead?
  16. I'd like to have the mac build as well. Thanks in advance
  17. gtk theme still broken

  19. it has arrived

    Excellent software!
Thank you for the great work.
  21. I have the same problem with files from my D600. Help!
  22. Thank you for a great piece of software!! Are there plans to support RAF files from Fuji X-E2s?? X-E2 files work fine but my new "s" version files crash the system (Ubuntu 14.04). My fingers are crossed. Thanks.
  23. Thanks a lot, great job !
  24. Thanks for the mac ver. Two questions: 1) Does “+dirty” indicate a beta ver? 2) in collect images > film roll, I have 2 folders showing (after re-location). How to clear them? “Clear this rule” selections doesn’t work and the dt manual doesn’t help.
Again, thanks for the great tool.
  25. Hello,

same problem with my D600 :'(
Is there a fix for this problem ?
Is it possible to remove 2.0.6 and install 2.0.5 ?

    thank you =)
  26. Mac build is available, click the link.
  27. Thank you :)
Tethering in El Captian on my MacBook Air seems not working.
I couldn't find my device connected through USB when scanned.
" No camera for tethering " is the message I got.
Kudos on OpenCL support for mac OS too.!
Everything else runs smooth and comparatively it's faster as well.
Thank you once again and Good Luck Team :)
  28. Oh, that seems to be a misunderstanding due to some unlucky wording. The bug mentioned there was indeed a problem in darktable, not pocl. We just consider pocl broken in general. For example something like https://github.com/pocl/pocl/blob/51ba4d75d068dce88b0514ad5faf73dfc8902795/lib/CL/clEnqueueCopyImageToBuffer.c#L15 and thus https://github.com/pocl/pocl/blob/51ba4d75d068dce88b0514ad5faf73dfc8902795/lib/CL/pocl_cl.h#L80 doesn't seem to belong in released code.
  29. "+dirty" indicates that the sources were not exactly as what you could find in the release tarball. In this case a few small adjustments to the build system were needed to compile on OSX. Functionality wise it's exactly what was released.

  31. Hi,

with new version 2.0.6, it don't work with file raw: failed to read camera white balance information!
    I have nikon d3200
    :(

I see that the Canon 80d was added to the supported list.
But how do you get it to work if Libgphoto does not support the 80d yet?

I cannot shoot tethered with my 80d as I get a warning box pop up saying:
Unable to mount Canon Digital Camera
Error initializing camera: -6: Not Supported.

Ok, so how do you get a Canon 80d to shoot tethered to Darktable?

Using the latest versions of everything.
    Mint 17 and 18.

  33. Hi All!

    It seams tha are corrected:

    https://redmine.darktable.org/projects/darktable/repository/revisions/b8e3696f66d030d39ced6996da92ae11d9d668ee

This problem is pointed in the children topics.

But I don't know how to git the new code to my local machine. :(

    Anyone?
  34. I do not know where to ask a question, and I cannot find out from the user manual. I use a Fujifilm X-E1 camera with a Rokinon 12mm f/2 manual lens (same as Samyang). I opened a file in darkroom. Needless to say, it does not recognize my lens. I manually click on lens->samyang, and it shows four lenses, 8mm f/2.8, 8mm f/3.5. 14mm f/2.8, 500mm f/6.3. (These are some of the lenses listed in slr-samyang, and some mil-samyang, but not all of them). So, 12mm f/2 is missing. But in the lensfun files (/usr/share/lensfun, mil-samyang), it shows the 12 mm f/2.0. So how do I get Darktable to show this lens?
  35. Judson Borges on Sat Oct 01 02:22:08 2016:
    Hi,

This darktable version (2.0.6) does not recognize the lens "AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II". So when I open an image, lens correction module displays the following message:

camera/lens not found... please select manually
try to locate your camera/lens in the above two menus

but only recognizes the version "AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G DX ED"
  36. OK, I found out how to do it. Just add fujifilm mount to the 12mm lens (after Sony E mount). Start DT, and the lens shows up under Samyang. The key is Fujifilm mount.

    Same problem with me.
    Nikon D3200
    Mac.
  38. lensfun needs to support a lens for that to work.
  39. When we announce support for a camera that means darktable is able to open and process its raw files. Tethering is nothing we could test or add support for so it's not part of the "supported" claim. As you already found out you need libgphoto2 to add support for cameras if you want tethering to work.
  40. I'm also getting these three errors with my Nikon D7100 files:

[rawspeed] (D71_9036.NEF) Camera not supported (explicit). Sorry.
[temperature] failed to read camera white balance information from `D71_9038.NEF'!
[colorin] `NIKON CORPORATION NIKON D7100' color matrix not found!

I've never tried Darktable before v2.0.6 so can't say if it worked before.
  41. But in the lensfun files (/usr/share/lensfun, mil-samyang), it shows the 12 mm f/2.0. So how do I get Darktable to show thi
  42. Same problem with me with my Nikon D3000 RAW files. How can we work this around?
  43. I'm excited about this new release, and wanted to tell you guys how much your hard work is appreciated.

I was especially happy to find that RAW files from my Fujifilm X-E2 now open without a hitch! Also excited to see you've already added support for my next planned camera upgrade: the X-T2.
  44. I have a friend with a 7100 and he says it works on 2.05. I have a 7200 and it works fine on 2.05. I suggest you install that for the time being. I have no doubt the developers will fix the problem on 2.06. They are pretty good and DT is one of the best raw developers.
  45. In my copy of lensfun the 12mm fisheye (it's a f/2.8 rather than f/2, isn't it?) isn't listed for a Fuji mount, just Nikon, Canon and Sony. Then there is the 12mm f/2.0 in mil-samyang which is only available for Sony here. So it seems you have to add your mount yourself. Or tell the lensfun people about it and hope they will do it in the next release.
  46. Love Darktable, but when will it be available for macOS Sierra. Will not install.
  47. If you are really serious about using DT on Mac, you can dual boot your Mac with Linux and install DT on it.
  48. Hello,
I would like import the photos from my iphone. :-).
    But i can't.
I'm sure, it'snot the first time you've this question.
Could you give me a link to the answer?
    Please
    thank' you
  49. Need more information about what do you exactly do and how exactly it doesn't work. I obviously test DT only the macOS version I use and it's not Sierra.
  50. My apologies. I did not realize DT can work in OS X. According to the install "This bundle supports only OS X versions 10.6 - 10.11 (El Capitan) running on 64 bit Intel architecture."

Sorry I know this is not the place, but can anyone give me some information or post me a link on how to dual boot a mac with Linux.
I am fed up with the continuous bloating & slowing of new versions of osx.
I have used a live distro of mint on my macbook air and it flies!
Thank you for your patience and any assistance
  52. It was written when Sierra wasn't out yet. OS X versions should be backward compatible and run software that worked before...
  53. Help me! I want return version darktable 2.0.5 because v.2.0.7 dont work with “AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G DX ED.
failed to read camera white balance information from DSC_1111.NEF
Please write me only : sudo .....
  54. What do you mean it does not work with that lens? Are you sure 2.0.7 does not work? Which camera is that? Please do read the section of 2.0.7 release notes just before "White Balance Presets"
